I keep meaning to talk more about my X-Files rewatch, because I’m halfway through Season Four already (just finished with Tunguska / Terma which still hold up as amazing episodes) and I keep having thinky thoughts about the show, but then I just watch more television.
X-Files started airing about three months after I graduated from high school and ran for nine seasons (well, seven if you ask some fans…) and is in so many ways a defining part of my life during that period. I watch it now and the earlier episodes are visibly dated and as much as I love it as much as ever it makes me feel so strange that there’s a part of my adulthood that’s dated now, that there’s an era of my life that really has passed.
Also, it’s high time for a resurgence of aliens and conspiracy theories on television. Who’s with me?
